AtomOS

Install AtomOS on a supported OS

Right now AtomOS can be installed on:

Almalinux 9.6
Almalinux 9.5
Almalinux < 9.5 (deprecated)
Almalinux 8.* (deprecated)
Rockylinux 9.6
Rockylinux 9.5
Rockylinux < 9.5 (deprecated)
Rockylinux 8.* (deprecated)
Ubuntu 25.04
Ubuntu 24.10 (deprecated)
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
Debian 12
Debian 13

:::info We strongly suggest the installation of Almalinux 9.6 unless you have special needs that require a debian-based distro. :::

After you have installed the base OS you can install the AtomOS CLI (Nucleus) from this one-liner:

curl https://repo.elemento.cloud/get-atomos.sh | sudo bash"

To install AtomOS follow the Installation Guide using our CLI

You can access you AtomOS via Cockpit at the ip https://<ip>:9090 to manage it directly.

Electros

Configure an Elemento account here

:::warning wait for the confirmation email and set the account password! :::

Download the Electros app right for your platform here
If you are interacting with servers running the Community Edition they will not be automagically discovered. In this case remember to add the hosts in the settings under Direct AtomOS hosts section!
Reboot the App and enjoy!

elemento-cli

If you want to use our CLI you firstly have to create a venv:

python3 -m venv ~/elemento-venv
source ~/elemento-venv/bin/activate

install the cli package with:

python3 -m pip install elemento-cli

:::danger The cli doesn't have the daemons included, you have to run them separately :::

Download the daemons for your OS!

Alternatively you can run the Electros app and use the cli at the same time, this cancel the needs to have to install the daemons

After installing the CLI, log in you Elemento account with:

elemento auth login
