Electros tech pack
Electros is the desktop app that lets you deploy, manage, use and dispose your Virtual Machines virtually on any Cloud, relying on AtomOS. It's available both as a CLI and a GUI and it allows for modular implementation of new interfaces to enable white labelling.
It is available for Windows, Linux and MacOS and can be downloaded directly from our website.
Pre-requirements
- An Elemento account is required to use Electros, you can create one here.
(wait for the confirmation email and set the account password!)
- Do you already have an account but forgot your password? Recover it here.
- If you are interacting with servers running the Community Edition they will not be ✨automagically✨ discovered. In this case remember to add the hosts in the settings under the
Direct AtomOS hostssection!
AtomOS license overview
AtomOS is provided as a framework that is installed on top of a compliant linux distro and can act as a free version or become a licensed professional version, depending on the presence of a valid paid license. The licenses are automatically associeted to your Elemento account using the email address as the key. During the purchase process always remember to use an email address associated with a valid Elemento account.
:::info The licenses of AtomOS are not floating, meaning when you activate a license on a host running AtomOS you will be not able to move the license to another instance :::
To purchase one or more AtomOS licenses, visit this page and complete the purchase process. Once the purchase is processed, you will be able to manage your licenses directly from Electros.
:::warning AtomOS licenses become active and ready when you activate them, not when you buy them! :::
Graphical User Interface
In the GUI, you can find all the essential information you need, providing you with a clear and comprehensive overview of your system.

Storages
In the storage section, it's possible to create a wide variety of volumes, giving you control over how you want your disks to be saved.

Virtual Machines
In the Virtual Machines section, you can create new VMs and manage your existing ones. Newcomers can easily create their first VM in just a handful of clicks, while our expert users are able to create the machine of their dreams through the Advanced button.

AtomOS Licenses
You can find a dedicated section for your licenses, giving you a complete view of their status!

To proceed with the license activation, press the button on the right of an inactive license.
After clicking, an additional page will appear, showing the license's cryptographic key.
:::danger Do not close the page or the app before copying the content as this information will only be shown once! :::

As suggested by the prompt, copy the entire contents of the box into the file /etc/elemento/atomos.license on the running AtomOS instance for which you are activating the license.
